Performance Footwear Designed for Every Moment On and Off the Green

The collaboration between KEEN and Metalwood Studio has been a long time in the making. Masaki Takagi, KEEN’s global merchandising director, recalls, “The team there had already been wearing KEEN sandals before and after golfing.” Uniting naturally around shared values of sustainability and inclusivity, the two brands have now come together for KEEN’s debut in the golf realm, presenting a pair of footwear designed for both before and after your 18 holes.


The first collaborative piece is the Metalwood Studio x KEEN Hyperport Clog, inspired by KEEN’s hybrid sandal. This slip-on silhouette features maximal cushioning and a highly grippy sole. Crafted from ethically sourced suede, it offers a super lightweight and breathable feel.


Next in line is the UNEEK II Convertible, which follows the same earthy color palette and slip-on construction.
The design inspiration for this release comes from golf course topographical maps and reflexology. The founder of Metalwood shared that the brands drew particular creative influence from “how the contours of the nervous system relate to our emotions on and off the golf course.”
Takagi adds, “We love that Metalwood is broadening the scope of golf and making it more inclusive, accessible, and sustainable. These are values we share at KEEN.”
