Silvia Venturini Fendi ushers in a bold era of maximalism
At Milan Fashion Week, creative director Silvia Venturini Fendi unveiled the Fendi Spring/Summer 2026 collection, a spirited and youthful presentation that highlighted the house’s balance of craftsmanship and imagination. Departing from the restraint of minimalism, the collection embraced a daring color spectrum that marked a fresh creative chapter for Venturini Fendi.
The runway unfolded like a kaleidoscope, blending vivid reds, striking turquoise, and playful bubblegum pinks with timeless neutrals. Flowers emerged as the central motif—daisy petal cut-outs adorned jackets and dresses, while sheer fabrics carried softly blurred floral prints. A fur coat meticulously crafted from countless florets stood as a testament to the maison’s unrivaled technical mastery.
Handbags, one of Fendi’s enduring icons, were reinvented with whimsical details. The Peekaboo appeared understated on the outside but revealed a dazzling lining of sequins or tinsel, symbolizing a hidden sparkle within. Other designs featured ruched leather and wooden beads, adding a tactile and artisanal character. Speaking of her vision, Venturini Fendi described the collection as “a relaxed, colorful sense of ease with romantic elegance,” beautifully realized through a marriage of intricate workmanship and minimalist gestures. This season signals Fendi’s confident embrace of maximalism.
