From skateparks to runways, the Valentino x Vans Authentic sneaker fuses Cali-cool to couture.

Vans’ roots in Southern California skate culture remain intact in the Valentino x Vans Authentic sneaker collaboration, which embraces and celebrates Vans’ Cali-cool vibe. This collaboration feels like fashion’s grand emperor, Valentino Garavani, spending time in SoCal and bringing that laid-back energy back to Italy.


For the Fall/Winter 2025 collection titled “Le Méta Théâtre Des Intimité,” creative director Alessandro Michele reinterprets Vans’ iconic Authentic sneaker through a theatrical haute couture lens. The collection includes six unique designs that blend skatewear's classic silhouette with couture details—think pink-and-black checkerboards, oversized florals, and “I ❤️ Vans Valentino” prints. The sneakers will launch in Japan on September 12, followed by Valentino's global stores a week later.

Vans has been gaining traction in high fashion, and this collaboration seals the deal, pushing Vans' classic silhouette into couture territory with Valentino’s signature “V” stamp.
