Fashion trends are cyclical, and slimmer jeans—like skinny and bootcut styles—seem to be making a comeback as wide-leg fatigue sets in. Industry experts, including Nicolai Marciano of GUESS Jeans, note a shift towards slimmer silhouettes, supported by brands like CELINE, Diesel, and Acne Studios incorporating bootcuts into recent collections.

Despite this, data suggests that baggy jeans remain dominant, with searches increasing by 296% last season. While slim styles align with rising trends like "office siren" and corpcore aesthetics, stylists like Alizé Demange believe baggy jeans will continue to thrive, with skinny jeans appealing mainly to certain body types.

Though skinny jeans are appearing on runways and in campaigns—like Frame’s recent collaboration with TikTok star Alix Earle—their mainstream return remains uncertain. For now, bootcut and slim-straight styles seem to be leading the shift, while full-blown skinnies may still take time to reclaim their place in fashion.
