STRIKE ORAL PASTE FOR HORSES PHARMACOTHERAPEUTIC CATEGORY Endectocides. | ACTIVE INGREDIENTS 100 g of paste contain: Pyrantel Pamoate: 38 g (equal to 13.2 g of Pyrantel base). | EXCIPIENTS Aluminum magnesium silicate, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, sodium carboxymethylcellulose, propylene glycol, aroma milk, sodium saccharin, sorbitol 70%, purified water. | INDICATIONS Treatment of gastrointestinal infestations in horses caused by large strongyles (Strongylus vulgaris, S. edentatus, S. equinus), small strongyles (Triodonthophorus spp., Cyathostominae) and cestodes (Tapeworms: Anoplocephala perfoliata, Anoplocephala magna). | CONTRAINDICATIONS / SIDE EFFECTS Do not use in animals with hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients. Use is not recommended in severely debilitated animals. | USE / ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION Oral. | DOSAGE 6.6 mg of pyrantel base/kg bw/day, equivalent to 5 g of oral paste per 100 kg of live weight, in a single administration, is effective in nematode infestations; At double the dosage, it is effective against tapeworm infestations. Infestations caused by large and small strongyles: Administer 5 g of oral paste per 100 kg of the horse's weight in a single treatment. Infestations caused by tapeworms (TAPEWORM): Administer 10 g of paste per 100 kg of the horse's weight in a single treatment. Using the 35 g and 50 g syringe: Prepare the syringe to deliver the correct dose based on the horse's weight. Precise delivery of the dose to be administered is achieved by positioning the front edge of the plunger ring in correspondence with the horse's weight shown on the graduated scale for strongyles or tapeworm infestations. Using the 300 g tube: Connect the tube to the appropriate dispensing gun. Prepare the gun by positioning the dosage regulator on the minimum (6.6 g), medium (10 g) or maximum (13.5 g) position dosed based on the weight of the horse and the dose to be administered, according to the tables below. | STORAGE Store in a closed container.
