EQLZ is making a mark in the performance basketball scene with its sleek 247 silhouette, designed by renowned footwear designer Aaron Cooper, who boasts 25 years of experience at Nike and has contributed to many iconic shoe projects. Now, after successfully debuting the 247, EQLZ is set to introduce its next basketball sneaker: the EQLZ 360. This new model is crafted for agile players who excel at quick cuts and rapid movements on the court.
The 360 features an innovative upper lockdown system inspired by the “monkey paw” technology used in Nike Basketball designs from the late 1990s and early 2000s—a concept Cooper himself helped develop. Beneath the synthetic leather outer layer lies a knit material with a distinctive design pattern, blending modern aesthetics with classic basketball shoe elements. For cushioning, the 360 utilizes super-critical Pebax foam in the forefoot and heel, contrasting with the full-length cushioning found in the 247.
Cooper takes on the role of creative director for the EQLZ 360, while the silhouette itself is designed by Brett Golliff, a seasoned designer with experience working with New Balance, Langston Galloway’s Ethics brand, and others.
